About Cas Anvar (Dodi Fayed)

Cas Anvar is a Canadian actor born to Iranian parents in Regina, Saskatchewan who later on grew up in Montreal, Quebec. Due to his distinctive looks, he seemed like a very appropriate choice for the role of Dodi Fayed, a millionaire’s son with whom Diana died in the Paris car crash in 1997.
Anvar is actually a professional actor – he’s a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, the country’s top-notch place for professional theater and acting studies. His big break happened in 2003 when he was cast in the movie Shattered Glass, a movie that has won several different awards and got four nominations for the Spirit Awards and a nomination for the Golden Globe awards.
Besides that, Anvar is best known for his role as Dr. Singh in the TV show The Tournament. Other prominent roles include his appearance in TV shows like The Expanse, and Olympus but also in movies alongside popular actors such as Ben Affleck in Argo, an Oscar-winning Best Picture movie, or Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Apart from his acting career on screen, he’s also a recognized voice talent and has begun his voice acting career with his appearance in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in 2011. Later on, he’s appeared in two more video game roles.
A fun fact about him is that he’s fluent in English, French, and Persian but can also manage quite well with Arabic, Hindi, and Spanish. He’s so versatile with his acting that he’s appeared in more than 70 different roles! Anvar has so far won the SAG award for Best Ensemble Cast for his role in Argo and has also been nominated for two ACTRA and two Gemini awards.
